Formed in 2002, with the merger of the Seychelles Hotel Association and the Seychelles Hotel and Guesthouse Association; SHTA represents the entire spectrum of the tourism/hospitality industry’s private sector. The association has 146 members; 113 accommodation establishments representing a total of 2405 rooms, 8 restaurants, 11 Destination Management Companies and online reservations companies and more than 20 businesses indirectly linked to the industry; represented as associate members.

The aim of this website is to provide members and potential members with an overview of the SHTA membership, its works and roles as well as general information on the local tourism industry.

  1. Unite and effectively represent all hospitality establishments in Seychelles so that we safeguard the success of our industry.
  2. Promote and encourage an environment conducive to operating a successful tourism industry. To do this we must
    • fully participate in the formulation of policies and laws that impact on tourism.
    • actively market our establishments and engage in a regular public relations program.
    • actively promote career opportunities in the hotel industry, and help develop a skilled and motivated service-oriented workforce.
  3. Work in close partnership with all related associations to ensure that the tourism industry succeeds and our people prosper.

“For lasting success.”
